Driver Lead - Lakeland, Florida
The Driver Lead is responsible for delivering product to small and large format accounts on a predetermined route for advance sales, maintaining strong customer rapport, providing quality service, and effectively merchandising products. The Driver Lead also oversees training of new hires for driving and merchandising positions and provides re‑training when necessary.
Shift & Schedule- Tuesday through Saturday
- 4:30 am until route is finished
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Local routes
- Deliver products to scheduled accounts in good condition and within scheduled delivery time.
- Assure brands and packages are rotated properly, safeguarding against past‑dated products.
- Accountable for cash/credit proceeds and products removed from inventories.
- Compute and record transactions and convey all related cash, checks and documents to Route Auditor at conclusion of work shift.
- Provide shelf merchandising to stores upon request by manager or customer.
- Maintain assigned vehicle in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
- Deliver product for UDS, Bulk, Night Transport or Merchandising routes when vacations or days off need to be taken by the normal driver or merchandiser.
- Act as a support/fill‑in for the Distribution Supervisor duties, including Kronos, JJ Keller, and other reporting functions.
- Share in the opening, closing, and weekend “on‑call” duties of the Branch.
Pay starting at $31.60 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $33.25 per hour in the quarter after their 6‑month anniversary.

- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- 2 years of delivery experience and face‑to‑face customer interaction
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly
- Valid Class A CDL
