Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Lakeville, Massachusetts.

This role offers the opportunity to work on key accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash management, while contributing to process improvements and efficiency gains. The ideal candidate is eager to grow professionally, learn new systems, and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Handle daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

- Assist in cash management processes, ensuring proper tracking and reconciling of financial activities.

- Support month-end close procedures, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.

- Collaborate with the Controller to streamline and automate Accounts Payable workflows.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.

- Monitor and maintain compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.

- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

- Provide support for financial reporting and documentation as needed.

- Utilize Excel and other computer systems to analyze and manage accounting data. Requirements - Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

- At least 1 year of experience in accounting or finance; internship experience will be considered.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude for working with computer systems.

- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Commitment to learning and growing within the accounting field.

- Familiarity with general accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliations.
