Weekend On Call Registered Nurse – Hospice Services of Massachusetts

Schedule:

4:30 p Friday to 8:30 a Monday. Pay: $640 for the weekend, plus $190 per admission and $90 per visit. Mileage reimbursement. This is an on‑the‑road position; you must have a reliable insured vehicle and be willing to travel.

In this role, you will respond to on‑call messages, complete comprehensive assessments of patients, provide nursing care, complete clinical notes, and supervise hospice CNAs.

• Respond to on‑call messages that may include making recommendations via phone and making visits.
• Complete a comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice eligibility and care needs.
• Provide nursing care.
• Complete clinical notes regarding patient condition and care given.
• Supervise hospice CNAs.
• Teach patients and loved ones self‑care techniques as appropriate.
• Provide appropriate support at time of death.
• Initiate plan of care and make revisions as patient status and needs change.
• Assess and evaluate patient status.
• Work with interdisciplinary team to meet the emotional needs of the patient and loved ones.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must hold an active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts and be CPR certified.
• Prior hospice experience required.
