Research Technician
We are seeking a Research Technician to support beverage product development and laboratory operations. This role is central to assisting scientists with formulation, testing, and daily lab maintenance. This is a hands-on, onsite position suited for an individual with a STEM background who is detail-oriented and works well in a research and development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support scientists in beverage product development, including prototype formulation.
- Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to create test beverages.
- Assist with a long-term testing process and ongoing prototype development.
- Conduct shelf-life testing and analytical testing to validate product quality.
- Participate in sensory evaluation and taste testing when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab, including routine cleaning.
- Monitor and maintain temperature controls for freezers and lab spaces.
- Track and manage inventory of ingredients and lab supplies.
- Monitor lab safety systems, including oxygen meters and CO₂ monitors.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Experience:
Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions in a lab environment.
Skills:
Comfort with supporting hands-on experimentation and a willingness to participate in taste testing are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in food or beverage product development.
- Experience with analytical or chemical testing methods.
