Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District is hiring two Van Drivers to operate an eight-passenger van for morning and afternoon school runs.
Job Details- Job : 25-85
- Position Type: Full‑time
- Work Hours: Monday–Friday during the school year plus 5 weeks in summer, Flexible 20–25 hrs./wk.
- Starting Date: To Be Determined
- Provide safe and timely transport of students to and from school/programs.
- Perform daily safety checks of vehicle and equipment and report problems to the Transportation Coordinator.
- Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the vehicle.
- Ensure adequate gasoline before each route.
- Operate vehicle in accordance with all Federal and State traffic laws.
- Complete daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, student and mileage logs.
- Secure students/equipment with appropriate restraints, seat belts, car seats.
- Assist students to safely enter and exit the vehicle.
- Manage behavior issues during the route and report concerns; file incident reports.
- Release students only to approved individuals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator.
- Current 7‑D driver’s license.
- High school diploma.
- Experience with special‑needs students.
- Experience as a van or bus driver.
- First Aid & CPR Certified.
- Valid citizenship, residency, or work visa in the United States.
- Pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
