Payroll Specialist / Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist / Accounting Specialist to manage payroll processing while supporting core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate payroll, maintaining financial records, and supporting month-end close activities.

Payroll

• Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.
• Maintain employee payroll records, earnings, deductions, and tax with holdings.
• Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Assist with payroll reporting, tax filings, and year-end processing.

Accounts Payable

• Review and process vendor invoices.
• Perform two-way and three-way matching.
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor files and payment records.

Accounts Receivable

• Generate and distribute customer invoices.
• Apply customer payments and maintain accurate AR records.
• Monitor aging reports and assist with collections efforts.
• Research and resolve customer billing issues.

Bank Reconciliations & Accounting

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Support audits and financial reporting activities.
