Student Services Assistant (Job ) – Lakeville North High School. Posted: 6/29/2026. Available: 09/03/2026.
Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to provide support to Assistant Principal in all aspects of operating the Student Services offices. Position holder ensures that the Assistant Principal offices run smoothly by establishing a flow of accurate and timely information/materials to all stakeholders. Specific duties will vary between buildings depending on their individual needs.
Essential Functions- Cordially greets and assists all students, parents, staff and visitors in the building with daily requests for college information and application procedures, Post Secondary Education Option information, registration, scheduling, verification of enrollment letters, GPA verification.
- Accurately establishes and maintains all student files in the school office which include requesting student records, establishing a cumulative file, giving records to the appropriate Assistant Principal, assessing needs of new families, providing family registration materials, and contacting the bus company.
- Accurately maintains the student information system to include registering new students, removing transferred students, creating schedules and modifying student data.
- Maintains a schedule of appointments for Assistant Principals and makes arrangements for meetings.
- Properly maintain archives of all records for past graduates, non-graduates, withdrawn students and process daily requests for these records to past students, businesses and colleges.
- Efficiently process reports/updates for mid-terms, grades, report cards. Update transcript information on current students and transfer students.
- Maintain and distribute accurate student schedules, updating schedules when necessary.
- Assist assistant principals with organization and paperwork involved with all testing.
- Assist assistant principals with the organization, letters home to parents, permission slips and inputting of hours regarding online school and Goals students.
- Assist with registration for the following school year by revising/updating the Program of Studies registration booklets for each grade, collecting registration forms.
- Prepare materials for Parent and Student Campus portal.
- Accurately process all end of the year reports.
- Efficiently answer phone calls/emails by responding to requests for information or directing callers to appropriate personnel.
- Accurately prepare suspension/expulsion papers and other confidential reports.
- Coordinate with the superintendent's office open enrollment and inter-district enrollment procedures.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of office supplies, ordering when necessary.
- Accurately process and mail transcripts, college applications and scholarship applications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- PC computer knowledge.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and be proficient with the following programs: excel, word, and power point.
- Technical skills to be able to operate and troubleshoot all copy machines, fax machines, postage meter, etc.
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced, noisy environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication, proofreading and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn the district's student information system and electronic email.
- 174 days per year.

- Position classified as B-2-2 in LEAF contract.
