Responsibilities

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Review the project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand expectations and work efficiently.

Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory, while ensuring procurement processes are efficient and cost‑effective.

Review work progress on a daily basis and conduct regular site inspections.

Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status, and present them to stakeholders.

Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.

Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks, and implement quality control programs.

Lead and manage the project team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and optimizes team performance.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction project management.

Proven ability to lead a team and manage projects with a strong understanding of the construction industry.

Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.

Exceptional knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting principles.

Excellent knowledge of construction contract negotiations and procurement processes.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with an ability to motivate and direct a team to achieve project goals.

Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Proficiency in construction management software packages.
