Engage, connect, make a difference this summer by joining the Summer Adventures team! This summer Lakeville Area Schools Summer Adventures program is seeking multiple Summer Adventures Team Leaders (Summer Supervisors).
Position Description/
Qualifications:
The purpose of this position is to oversee all onsite activity including students, staff and daily operations at a Summer Adventures location.
Cherry View Elementary School, John F Kennedy Elementary, Lake Marion Elementary, Lakeview Elementary - 1 team lead at each school
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:
- A strong commitment to working with children as well as the ability to lead a team.
- Organizes and oversees a safe environment in which to provide childcare and enrichment for school-age children.
- Supervises Summer Adventures Leaders, Assistants, Spec. Ed. Para s, CIT s and District Cooks.
- Oversees the supervision of children and the security of the building and grounds.
- Maintains communication with parents as well as attend conferences with parents and Leaders if necessary.
- Maintains site records necessary for the Summer Adventures program.
- Organizes and schedules field trips, park trips, pool trips as well as special events.
- Oversees the development and implementation of lesson plans.
- Develops, organizes and presents workshops and meetings for Summer Adventures staff.
- Orders materials and supplies for site.
- Open to occasional adjustments in work schedule.
- Assists program Coordinators and Manager in maintaining program records.
- Collaborates with other summer programs.
- Opens and secures building when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Extended School Services Manager.
(Specific training or job experience required before appointment):
- 21 years of age, BA / BS Degree.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Ability to fill in for a teacher if needed.
- Able to work outdoors in various kinds of weather.
- Skilled in use of computer.

- Program Dates - 2/9/2026 - 8/28/2026 (The position starts in February for planning purposes. The Summer Adventures program operates June 5 - Aug. 28)
- 8 hours per day. Shift start and end times vary by building
- 59 days + some planning days prior
- $33.12 per hour
(Casual summer positions are not benefit eligible)
