This is a teaching position that assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of school age care and enrichment activities, programs and services for children grades K-5 in a safe and enriching environment.
- Develops and implements age-appropriate theme‑based curriculum that aligns with the Minnesota School Age Indicators of Progress.
- Delivers a high standard of customer service, serving as the primary contact for program‑specific needs, problem‑solving, conflict resolution, and making accommodations for all participants.
- Works directly with large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings such as classroom, cafeteria, gym, playground, and field trips.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe, engaging environment for all children.
- Hours per day vary Monday – Friday.
- Minimum of 30 hours per week.
- Locations vary.
- 180 days per year plus field trips.
- $25.41–$28.62 per hour, depending on experience.
- Non‑Licensed Instructors – Contract.
- B.A. or B.S. Degree in Elementary Education (preferred).
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in settings of high volume.
- Ability to work outdoors in various kinds of weather.
- Skilled in use of computer.
- Paid vacation, personal, and sick leave.
- 12 paid holidays each year.
