Special Education Paraprofessional – Summer Adventures

Engage, connect, and make a difference this summer by joining the Lakeville Area Schools Summer Adventures program as a Special Education Paraprofessional. You will provide direct and indirect support to students with special needs ages Birth through 21.

• Support academic programs designed by instructors, Special and General Education teachers, including leading small groups.
• Provide one‑to‑one follow‑up, re‑teaching/review, and maintain students on task.
• Work independently, exercise mature judgment, and manage children’s behavior positively.

• High School Diploma required.
• Preferred:
  Associate Degree; additional post‑secondary training in child, adolescent, or young adult education.

• Program dates:
  June 4 – August 28, 2026 (Closed June 19 & July
  4).
• 8 hours per day; shift start and end times vary by building.

• Lakeview Elementary
• Lake Marion Elementary
• John F Kennedy Elementary

• Hourly rate $17.30 – $22.86, depending on experience.
• Casual summer positions are not benefit eligible.
