Join our client for the  school year as a Special Education Teacher in Dakota County, Minnesota. This school-based opportunity supports students with social/emotional needs, including a predominately ASD population, within specialized programs and classrooms.

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized instruction to support reading skill development for students with social/emotional needs, including a predominately ASD population.
  • Teach transition-related skills that help students build independence and prepare for post-school outcomes.
  • Implement classroom approaches aligned to the specific needs of the program served, including structured instruction and targeted interventions.
  • Incorporate social-emotional supports and coping strategies into daily instruction for students who benefit from added structure.
  • Use appropriate sensory supports or adaptive technologies when applicable to meet individual student needs.
Special Education Teacher

Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in school-based settings.
  • Ability to deliver specialized instruction focused on reading skill development for students with social/emotional challenges.
  • Background working in specialized programs or classrooms serving students with specific disabilities and highly individualized needs.
  • Ability to support transition programming focused on independent living, employment skills, and community integration.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based behavioral supports such as Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
