Job Description
Step into a crucial support role as a paraprofessional within a vibrant elementary school environment. This contracted opportunity offers a rewarding chance to work alongside educators, supporting students across resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase, and Ready Set LAUNCH programming. The role begins early September 2026 and runs until June 2027, spanning the entire school year and providing an invaluable experience within a collaborative educational community.
Key
Qualifications:
- Must meet Highly Qualified status by one of the following:
- Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (must provide passing Para Educator Exam results)
- Earning at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
- Prior experience in a school setting or supporting students preferred
- Flexibility and willingness to assist students with toileting and personal care needs
- Ability to indicate preference for resource, DCD, or LAUNCH program assignments
- Resume and supporting qualifying documents must be provided prior to presentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers and special education teams in delivering individualized programming
- Provide direct support and guidance to students in group and one-on-one settings
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Employ patience and compassion while helping students with classroom expectations and personal care
- Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to student goals under supervision
