Meteorologist Planner

Position Overview:

The Meteorologist & Flight Planner provides client support by ensuring that each trip is successful in delivering the most accurate flight plans, while taking weather, turbulence, and winds aloft into consideration. This position will be responsible for analyzing and disseminating flight weather briefs to clients. The goal of the Meteorologist & Flight Planner is to provide an "Exceptional Client Experience" by initiating, building, and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring Flight Pro is "The Most Trusted, Premier Provider of Global Trip Support Solutions".

The Flight Pro International Trip Support team consists of the highest quality business aviation professionals in the industry. This dedicated team coordinates every operational requirement for all phases of flight. Our team of experts becomes an extension of the client's flight department when they partner with Flight Pro International.

This role requires the ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime in a high-tempo, 24/7 operational environment.

• Review and provide weather outlooks / preliminary flight plans to clients highlighting expected conditions at the terminal aerodromes along with a detailed en-route weather synopsis.
• Provide computerized flight plans, runway analysis, and weight & balance reports to clients.
• Spearhead projects related to aircraft databases, routes, the loading of aircraft, and assist when needed with airport & country databases.
• Analyze and interpret numerical weather prediction models (e.g., GFS, ECMWF) and communicate operational impacts to clients in a timely manner.
• Troubleshoot short notice problems for flight crew and provide options to remedy the issue.
• Research, capture and maintain vetted data in operational databases.
• Support a culture of exceptional client experience and contribute to the client experience journey.
• Anticipate client expectations daily in terms of weather, notams, and flight planning issues.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure trip-related information is communicated accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
• Confer with clients by telephone or email and provide information, updates, along with addressing questions and concerns.
• Keep records of client interactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
• Support the development of new products. Assist in defining requirements, design, and user acceptance testing.
• Stay informed of changes due to world events (strikes, political situations, pandemics, environment, etc.)
• Share knowledge with co-workers (train) on latest updates/requirements
• Participate in client onboarding calls and provide assistance as needed.
• Serve as an expert on the worldwide airway structure including political limitations.
• Maintain a working knowledge of industry standards and practices.
