ResponsibilitiesProvides consultation to pro builders and retail distributors both on the phone and at customer location; supervises drafters and/or EWP Customer Service Specialists, where appropriate;
Initiates sales for engineered wood products and accessories, i.e., joist hangers, etc. Conduct technical training seminars for applicators and location personnel. Conducts dealer/contractor information meetings. Procures and manages engineered wood inventory. Prepares complex CAD and/or hand drawings for converting conventional floor and roof framing and competitor's engineered wood materials to Boise materials. Responsible for demonstrating a commitment to Total Quality and the process of continuous improvement, identifying and responding actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers and be open and responsive to change.
Basic Qualifications:
College, vocational, or specialized training/certification or equivalent experience. Expert knowledge of CAD system, blueprint reading, and drafting. Requires strong math skills, excellent communication skills, and strong working knowledge of engineering terms and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the building materials industry preferred.
