Resident Fab Engineer – Key ResponsibilityWe are seeking a Resident Fab Engineer to serve as our primary technical liaison at our key wafer fabrication (Fab) partner sites. In this high‑visibility role, you will blend deep process engineering knowledge with strategic supplier management to ensure our proprietary semiconductor processes are executed to the highest standards.
What You Will Do- On‑Site Technical Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact between Allegro’s internal Quality/Product Engineering teams and the foundry’s process engineers. - Yield & Quality Improvement:
Monitor daily line health and wafer sort yields; lead root‑cause analysis for any yield excursions or process deviations using statistical process control (SPC) data. - Process Monitoring & Control:

Support the seamless transfer of new products from development into high‑volume manufacturing; coordinate the fabrication of engineering samples and “hot lots.” - Excursion Management:
In the event of a manufacturing issue, lead the task force to identify the source of the problem, contain affected material, and implement corrective actions (8D reports). - Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for cycle‑time reduction, cost‑saving process tweaks, and yield optimization without compromising device performance or reliability.

- 5‑10 years of hands‑on experience in a semiconductor wafer fab environment (Process Engineering, Yield Engineering, or Integration).
- Deep understanding of BCD (Bipolar‑CMOS‑DMOS) or Analog/Mixed‑Signal process flows.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, or Spotfire.
- Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (SEM, EDX, FIB).
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical issues to both internal executives and external foundry partners.
