• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and implement long hole mining plans that optimize resource extraction while adhering to safety regulations.
• Assist in the design and analysis of drilling patterns to ensure efficient and effective ore recovery.
• Conduct geological assessments to identify and evaluate mineral deposits, contributing to the planning of mining operations.
• Utilize specialized software tools to create detailed mine plans and models that reflect current geological data and operational requirements.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor ongoing operations and gather data for continuous improvement of mining processes.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Engage in data collection and analysis to support decision-making processes related to mine planning and resource management.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including geologists, surveyors, and production personnel, to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in mining technology to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

• A degree in Mining Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with mining engineering principles, particularly in long hole mining techniques.
• Basic understanding of geological concepts and mineral resource evaluation.
• Proficiency in using mining software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Surpac, or similar applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced mining environment.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.

• Previous internship or co-op experience in mining or a related field.

• Membership or eligibility for membership in a professional engineering association.
