Our fast-growing team is seeking a talented Design Engineer to play a crucial role in bringing cutting-edge designs to life, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering results that exceed customer expectations.

Role Overview

As a Design Engineer at Machine and Process Design
, you will support the full design process from ideation to production. You’ll be responsible for creating new designs, updating existing ones, and maintaining accurate project documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), across multiple stages of each project. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop your engineering skills while contributing to innovative different solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design process from concept to production.
  • Create and update detailed engineering drawings using Solid Works.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain project BOMs and documentation.
  • Ensure design consistency, functionality, and adherence to manufacturing and customer specifications.
  • Engage in research and development (R&D) to innovate solutions and improve existing systems.
  • Participate in testing and validation within the test lab.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically to customer sites and project locations throughout the United States to support installations, field measurements, project startup, troubleshooting, and other business needs as required.
Accountabilities
  • Scope verification & simplification.
  • Optimize designs for cost, ease of production, and speed.
  • Maintain consistency across all project solutions.
  • Ensure functionality and quality of delivered systems.
  • Support continuous improvement through R&D and testing.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Solid Works and CAD software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Experience in machine or equipment manufacturing.
  • Experience in creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
