Lead AI Platform Engineer (Dev Ops, MLOps)
3M is seeking a talented and experienced Lead AI Platform Engineer to join our global team. You will be responsible for implementing and optimizing LLMOps and MLOps pipelines, leveraging cloud platforms and Dev Ops automation tools to drive success of our Generative AI projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and optimize Dev Ops pipelines for efficient deployment and monitoring of AI models.
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable solutions for the GenAI platform.
- Integrate and coordinate various AI services and components using APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Establish end‑to‑end frameworks for model observability, infrastructure performance monitoring, and Fin Ops.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and frameworks for MLOps and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in platform engineering/Dev Ops in any environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MLOps, automation, or Dev Ops using tools such as Docker, Git Hub Actions, Kubernetes, Airflow, MLflow or similar.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep or Cloud Formation.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure Cloud platforms.
- Experience with API Operations, API Gateways, RESTful APIs, message brokers, and event‑driven architectures.
- Familiarity with NLP & AI frameworks such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑learn.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
On‑site in Maplewood, MN.
Travel:
May include up to 10% domestic and international.

CompensationExpected range: $164,612 – $201,193 (base pay plus variable incentive, if eligible).
