We are seeking a Business Process Strategist to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives within a public-sector environment. This role focuses on improving and expanding a modern licensing and case management platform built on Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
.

The strategist will partner with cross-functional teams, IT organizations, and external vendors to optimize business processes, support system integrations, and improve data-driven decision-making across multiple programs.

Scope of Work
  • Expand existing licensing functionality to support new license types, including:
  • Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)
  • Foster Care
  • Early Intensive Development and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI)
  • Uniform Service Standards (USS), and others
  • Support development of legal appeals case management features
  • Enable integrations with enterprise systems and external platforms
  • Enhance case management and product success capabilities
  • Improve data pipelines into an Azure-based Data Lakehouse
  • Support additional strategic priorities as identified
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and risks
  • Collect and assess data related to process performance, cost, and user experience
  • Benchmark workflows against industry and public-sector best practices
  • Design, document, and optimize scalable and standardized business processes
  • Create workflow diagrams using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN tools
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and process improvement sessions
  • Translate business needs into actionable requirements for technical teams
  • Lead change management activities to support adoption of new processes
  • Develop training materials and support knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with IT teams to align process improvements with technology solutions
  • Define KPIs and metrics to measure ongoing process effectiveness
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 5–8 years of experience in business process analysis, workflow design, or operational improvement
  • Strong ability to align process initiatives with organizational strategy
  • Proven experience working across multiple departments and stakeholder groups
  • Background leading process change initiatives and adoption strategies
  • Familiarity with public-sector regulatory environments and operational standards
  • Exposure to process automation, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and analytics tools
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
