ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are recruiting for a Network Architect to join our rapidly growing Information Services team located in the Minneapolis, MN location. In this newly created position reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be responsible for leading the network architecture function across Inspire’s technology landscape, planning, designing and overseeing implementation of our Azure focused network. As a hands‑on architect, you will partner with experts both inside and outside Inspire to build and govern our growing landscape.
OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE
- Contribute to and execute on IS strategy to ensure alignment with Inspire’s goals and objectives.
- Partner with technology leaders to translate business needs into Information Services solutions.
- Manage and govern our Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Maintain and deploy critical infrastructure components through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling across the Azure landscape.
- Participate in governance processes to review and approve new solutions and projects to ensure that they are compliant with architectural standards, policies and guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impact or application for the organization.
- Educate and advocate for network architecture best practices.
- Create and review artifacts to provide an enterprise view of network strategy, processes, information and technology assets.
- Create templates and ensure the creation and maintenance of key artifacts such as Network Diagrams, Strategic Roadmaps, Landscape Diagrams, etc.
- Provide oversight, coaching, and guidance on Networking and Azure concepts across the organization.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Leading groups of vendors / partners to deliver.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of progressive experience working as an enterprise, network, solution, or domain architect or similar role
- Hands‑on experience with the development and deployment of Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) templates and modules within a cloud‑based deployment model, preferably using Azure and Terraform
- Knowledge of Azure networking in a multi‑tenant, multi‑application, cross‑organizational environment
- Ability to think critically and solve problems
- Strong understanding of software, hardware, architecture frameworks, and corporate technology and trends. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders and senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline
- Working knowledge of Azure Dev Ops for code management and implementation of CICD pipelines
