Senior Director of Disability Services & Program Operations

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead and oversee disability support programs across the Duluth, Virginia, and North Branch areas. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services for individuals with disabilities, drives operational and financial performance, leads process improvements, and fosters staff development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage disability services programs in alignment with the organization’s mission and compliance standards.
  • Oversee intake, screening, and individualized service planning, ensuring person-centered, timely, and accurate execution.
  • Monitor and ensure proper implementation, evaluation, and documentation of service plans in accordance with licensing requirements.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and support program staff; oversee team performance and development.
  • Ensure programs meet occupancy, staffing, and budget goals.
  • Stay informed of and integrate updates to state regulations and policy requirements.
  • Identify community needs and lead the development of new programs and services.
  • Collaborate on organization-wide process improvements for enhanced service delivery.
  • Manage investigations into reports of neglect or abuse of vulnerable adults.
  • Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders including counties, case managers, and community partners.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in programs serving vulnerable adults or children.
  • One of the following education/work experience combinations:
  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field + 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Associate’s degree + 2 years of relevant experience.
  • 4 years of direct care experience.
  • Or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of leadership experience in disability or human services.
  • Ability to pass background and MVR checks.
