Seasonal Material Handler [Forklift Operator]

Boise Cascade offers a Seasonal Material Handler position in our high‑traffic warehouse and yard. The role requires safe forklift operation, order fulfillment, and basic customer service in an outdoor, all‑weather environment.

• Receive, select, and load materials
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently
• Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily
• Maintain a clean working area
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance)
• Perform daily safety checks on forklifts
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
• Ability to understand and follow safety/work instructions
• Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions
• Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw

• Forklift experience (sit‑down/counterbalance)
• Familiarity with building materials
• Ability to measure and calculate material lengths

• High traffic warehouse and yard
• Physically demanding; outdoors in all weather conditions

• Familiaridad con materiales de construcción
