  1st Shift Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM and Friday 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Position Type:
  Direct Hire

• 3 to 5+ years of hands‑on experience operating manual lathes and mills in a job shop, repair shop, or custom manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a machinist apprenticeship or technical college program in machine tool technology is highly preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to stand for 9+ hours.

• Machine Operation:
  Set up and operate conventional machine tools, including manual lathes, vertical and horizontal milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and band saws.
• Blueprint Reading & Planning:
  Interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, and job specifications to plan the optimal sequence of machining operations.
• Precision Measurement:
  Select, calibrate, and utilize precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions match tolerances often as tight as ±0.0005 inches.
• Tooling & Fixturing:
  Select appropriate cutting tools, feed rates, and spindle speeds based on the material being machined. Design and fabricate custom fixtures or work‑holding devices as needed for unique jobs.
• Quality Control & Troubleshooting:
  Perform first‑article and in‑process inspections to ensure zero‑defect production. Diagnose mechanical issues or machining variances and make real‑time adjustments.
• Maintenance & Safety:
  Perform routine preventative maintenance on manual machinery (lubrication, belt adjustments, fluid checks). Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑compliant workstation.
