Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator drives a liquefied gas or battery powered industrial truck equipped with forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in the warehouse or factory.

• Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment.
• Complete required quality inspections per customer specifications and paperwork – quality is the responsibility of all employees.
• Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
• Provide an active role in the housekeeping of the assigned area.
• Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements.
• Move levers and press pedals to drive the truck and control movement of the lifting apparatus.
• Position forks under unitized stacks, loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport the load to the designated area.
• Unload and stack material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• May load or unload materials onto or off of trailers, pallets, skids, etc.
• Replace liquefied-gas tank.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Industrial Truck Operator certificate.
• Previous industrial truck operator experience.
• Computer data entry and retrieval related experience.
• Handheld scanner experience.

The starting wage for this position is $28.39 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential, with opportunities to train in other positions with higher pay. The company offers robust benefit offerings and many advancement opportunities.
