Fiber Assembly Operator
Location: Shakopee, MN
Position OverviewWe are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Fiber Operators to support the assembly and production of fiber optic components. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, have strong manual dexterity, and can perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
No prior fiber optics experience is required. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precision assembly tasks using table-mounted tools and equipment.
- Execute cutting, stripping, cleaning, and preparation of fiber optic components according to established procedures.
- Work with small parts and delicate components while maintaining quality standards.
- Operate microscopes and magnification equipment to complete detailed assembly work.
- Follow visual work instructions, production procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Complete basic documentation and capture photos as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Meet productivity and quality expectations while performing repetitive assembly tasks.
- Work closely with technicians and team members to support daily production goals.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to perform detailed, repetitive work with accuracy and consistency.
- Comfortable working with small components and precision tools.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions.
- Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Willingness to learn new processes and develop technical skills.
