Seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer II to manage production builds of complex electro-mechanical medical devices across multiple product lines. This role will focus on issue tracking and resolution, sustaining BOM and process management, production documentation, continuous improvement, and supporting safe, high-quality production. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an electronic-based manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage production builds across multiple product lines, including issue tracking, device improvements, and engineering changes.
  • Partner with NPI Engineering to transfer new products into sustaining production.
  • Create and maintain production documentation, including bills of materials, assembly and test procedures, part drawings, and engineering change orders.
  • Address quality documentation requirements and partner with Quality Assurance to resolve product and process issues.
  • Communicate production status and updates to manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, yield improvement, labor efficiency, and overall production performance.
  • Work directly with customers as needed to support product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of medical device requirements and stay current on new and existing manufacturing processes and industry trends.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, production, and other internal teams to meet build plans and production goals.
Required Skills
  • 3–6 years of manufacturing engineering experience in an electronic-based manufacturing environment.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience preferred; aerospace manufacturing experience accepted.
  • Experience working in regulated environments, including FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO 13485, and/or ISO 9001.
  • Experience with Solid Works.
  • Ability to create, write, and edit technical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
