American Traveler is hiring an Oncology Infusion RN with chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and at least 1 year of oncology infusion experience for an outpatient cancer treatment setting.

• Outpatient oncology/hematology infusion center
• Care for adult oncology and hematology patients receiving outpatient infusion services
• Patient population includes solid tumor diagnoses (breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, gynecologic) and hematologic malignancies (lymphoma, leukemia, multiple myeloma)
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hydration, iron infusions, injections, and supportive care
• Perform port access, central line management, and infusion reaction management
• No blood products or transfusions administered at this location
• Utilizes Epic/Beacon for oncology treatment plans and charting
• Uses implanted port access equipment, central venous access devices, infusion pumps, CADD pumps, Dynamap vital sign monitors, and telemonitoring equipment
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Schedule is Monday-Friday day shift (7:30 AM-4:00/4:30 PM)
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Open to accommodating block schedules

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC)
• OCN certification preferred
• 1 year of oncology infusion specialty experience required, 2 years preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy/infusions, port access and management, central line care, and infusion pump management
• Experience recognizing and managing chemotherapy side effects and oncologic emergencies (ATLS, anaphylaxis, extravasation, hemorrhage, sepsis, spinal cord compression)
• Knowledge of chemotherapy administration, monitoring, and symptom management
• Documents required for consideration: date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and RTO
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

• Provide oncology-specific patient education and symptom management to infusion patients
• Coordinate care with a supportive oncology team within an outpatient specialty center
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• Float to hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel experience not required
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since last worked as perm staff or per diem
• RTO requests ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment or to former perm employees
