Position: Rare Disease Business Manager, PI (Minneapolis, MN)

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales quotas by driving new patient starts, outpatient infusion/hospital sales, and retention of patients on Takeda augmentation treatment.
  • Conduct customer engagements with sales presentations and technical/administrative product information; educate on neuromuscular conditions and Takeda support resources.
  • Understand influence points affecting diagnosis, treatment, and Rx/referral/order.
  • Participate in community education events and conferences for HCPs and patients.
  • Focus on HCPs (Allergy/Immunology, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, select Internal Medicine/Primary Care, Neurologists); educate on Primary Immune Deficiency and CIDP brands.
  • Analyze business/managed market trends to build short- and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Patient Services, Alternate Site Team, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access, and National Accounts to maximize customer satisfaction and pull-through.
  • Work compliantly in a matrix environment handling confidential patient information.
Required/Preferred

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
  • 3+ years pharma/biotech/med device selling (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years selling at Takeda.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication; ability to influence multiple decision makers; strong business acumen/strategic planning; territory planning/account management/prioritization; interpret analytical data.
  • Work in a matrix with cross-functional partners; payer access/reimbursement knowledge; adaptability; learning agility.
  • Reside in territory/supported geography.
  • Preferred: 5+ years rare disease/pharma sales; consultative/needs-based selling; regulated marketplace experience; patient/market access coordination; use of digital tools/AI-enabled processes.
  • Key skills: organizational/territory planning; data interpretation; community education (occasional nights/weekends); motivates partners.
License/Travel/Training:
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Drive/fly to accounts; 25–50% overnight travel (as needed).
  • Mandatory product training with written/oral exams; during training classified as non-exempt (overtime eligible) and ineligible for sales incentives; after passing, transition to exempt status.
