About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team and focus on orders with UPS and Fed Ex
. You will verify and keep records on outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment ensuring accuracy and quality in all outgoing orders. As a key member of the House Orders department, you will work alongside Shipping and Receiving associates and report directly to the House Orders Facilitator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full Time (40 Hours per week), timely and consistent attendance required.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Assemble cardboard containers and prepare orders to be shipped out.
  • Stamp date and highlight special instruction on orders.
  • Pull stock, label and fill in order form. Check and audit completed orders.
  • Sort, highlight and file backorders. Fill backorders using computer generated information.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Order necessary supplies.
  • Count incoming shipments and inspect boxes for damage.
  • Operate handtruck to move or convey shipments
  • Follow "End of the Day" closeout procedures for maxi shipper and mail machine.
  • Pull future orders and order the out of stock items.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for maintaining proper documentation of operations.
  • Adequately perform other work related duties as assigned by management.
  • Willing participation in various continual improvement efforts.
  • Maintain clean, orderly and safe work environment.
What You Will Bring:
  • Experience working with UPS packages preferred
  • Related experience and/or training are preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to concentrate on essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, use of calculator and computer necessary.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral,or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, crouch; and talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical demonstrating essential job functions.
  • Ability to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen.
