Synergy Pet Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Specialist to manage day‑to‑day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while supporting general bookkeeping activities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, and supporting overall financial operations.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Quick Books is required.
Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and execute payment runs (ACH, checks, wires)
- Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor records
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
- Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
- Assist with collections and account issue resolution
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Assist with monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support month‑end closing processes
- Maintain financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies
- Assist with audit preparation and reporting as needed
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related role
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Experience with Quick Books (Online or Desktop)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
