Jefferson County Public Library is looking for someone who excels at organization, communication, and managing complex administrative functions in a fast-paced environment. The Administrative Coordinator LTE is responsible for high level administrative support functions which may include accounting, purchasing, and project coordination. This position performs special projects of an administrative, technical, or confidential nature and responds to inquiries from other divisions, departments, and the public.
The Administrative Coordinator also prepares a variety of records and reports.

This role is a Limited position anticipating an assignment end date after one year and offering Medical coverage for both the employee and/or any dependent children for limited rates.
Hiring Range: $24.56 - $30.70 per hour.
Responsibilities- Processes confidential matters, greet visitors, and screens and directs telephone calls.
- Orders supplies and verifies deliveries.
- Maintains inventory of supplies.
- Distributes mail and documents.
- Posts agendas and schedules.
- Oversees data processing.
- Prioritizes and forwards media requests.
- Grants document permissions.
- Utilizes data entry equipment to store, retrieve, and disseminate information.
- Communicates department and division information with various internal and external stakeholders, and community partners.
- Assists in coordinating public meetings.
- Develops mailing lists and promotional items.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Records and manages information discussed in staff meetings.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Performs a variety of high-level administrative duties; researching, compiling, planning, creating, and maintaining reports and correspondence in varied formats.
- May work on special projects by performing research and assisting in the preparation and implementation of project plans.
- May be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing special projects for various divisions within the Library.
- Prepares and manages a variety of documentation.
- Maintains sound records maintenance systems.
- Analyzes and reviews financial transactions, evaluates and identifies processes and procedures.
- Assists management in the preparation of the annual budget documents.
- Provides customer service by interpreting and explaining regulations, policies, standards, and procedures to internal and external customers based on knowledge of a specialized area within a defined scope.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree preferred. - At least one year of progressive experience working in an administrative field (at an administrative coordinator or executive assistant level of work).
