A well-established heavy civil construction firm is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in CDOT bridge and infrastructure projects
. This role will oversee complex structural concrete and bridge projects from early planning through final delivery, ensuring adherence to CDOT standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations.
- Manage all phases of bridge and structural concrete projects, including preconstruction planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Lead and coordinate project teams consisting of superintendents, field engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ensure full compliance with CDOT requirements, including documentation, pay applications, and reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact with CDOT representatives, inspectors, and design consultants
- Review plans, specifications, and contracts to identify risks, cost efficiencies, and constructability improvements
- Maintain tight control over project schedules, costs, and overall profitability
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress, safety practices, and quality standards
- Support estimating, bidding, and pursuit efforts as needed to support ongoing growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5–10 years of project management experience in heavy civil and/or bridge construction
- Direct experience managing CDOT-funded projects
- Strong understanding of CDOT specifications, standards, pay items, and compliance processes
- Proven ability to manage projects valued up to $30M
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with construction/project management software (HCSS Heavy Job, Procore, or similar platforms)
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and team collaboration
- Competitive base salary: $110,000 – $130,000+
