Job Description

We’re looking for a Construction Materials Technician 2 to join our field team supporting highway and infrastructure projects in the Lakewood, CO area.

In this role, you’ll be hands‑on at active construction sites—testing soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate materials to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Your work directly supports safe, durable infrastructure that communities depend on.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform field testing of construction materials (soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate) to verify compliance with project specifications
  • Travel to active construction sites and collaborate with contractors, producers, and project teams
  • Accurately document test results and maintain clear, timely field reports
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a strong safety‑first mindset on every job site
  • Support inspection activities and communicate findings with project stakeholders
  • Work on remote or large‑scale projects, including extended field assignments when needed
You’ll thrive here if you have
  • 2+ years of construction materials testing experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing standards and procedures
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to ~80%) and support project‑based schedules
  • Good communication skills and a team‑first mindset
  • Experience with certifications such as ACI, CAPA, WAQTC (preferred)
