We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Coordinator to support the organization in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment by assisting in developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures. This role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations while fostering a safety culture.
What You’ll DoKey Responsibilities:
- Safety Program Administration: Maintain safety policies, procedures, and records (incidents, inspections, and training). Stay current on regulations to keep the company compliant. Act as the main contact for employee safety concerns.
- Inspections & Risk Assessment: Perform regular site inspections and hazard assessments. Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Track safety trends to improve performance.
- Training & Communication: Deliver safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training. Work with supervisors and crews to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA and industry standards. Monitor PPE use and ensure proper maintenance.
- Emergency Preparedness: Support planning and drills for emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Electrical Safety: Enforce OSHA electrical safety standards. Ensure equipment is safe for use, proper PPE is worn, and employees follow lockout/tagout and safe work practices.

What You’ll BringKnowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices.
- Understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
- Expertise in personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and usage.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and documentation processes.
- Current awareness of emerging safety technologies and industry trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
- OSHA 30-hour certification or higher preferred; additional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare clear, concise reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a combination relevant experience, preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a safety or compliance-related role; experience in construction or electrical work is a plus.
Working Conditions
