University Supervisor – Elementary, School of Education

• Oversee, mentor and evaluate teacher candidates in-person during their clinical practice experiences.
• Observe and evaluate teacher candidates face-to-face in the Denver metro area.
• Attend scheduled meetings with School of Education Clinical Practice Coordinators.
• Guide candidate progress in meeting state and School of Education standards.
• Instruct, guide, and coach assigned undergraduate students who are candidates for Colorado teacher licensure, through observation, feedback, facilitative conferencing, and performance evaluation.
• Prepare written summaries for all observations.
• Read and react to written reflections of students weekly.
• Communicate with students in a timely manner.

• A Master's degree in education, administration or doctorate in education field.
• Experience in Math or Special Education at the Secondary level.
• Current or recent Colorado Teaching /Professional Educator License preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supervising or critiquing other’s performance.
• Previous leadership experience in a school setting.
• Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
• Documented history of working well as a team member.
• Proficiency in computer usage and able to use appropriate software and technology in the learning environment.
• A Passion for higher education and dedication to excellence in teacher preparation.

Demonstrates expertise in mentoring and evaluating teacher candidates, with a strong focus on meeting state and educational standards. Possesses excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a collaborative learning environment.
