This Admissions Counselor provides administrative and program support for admissions and recruitment. Administrative support includes processing documents, responding to inquiries, troubleshooting student registration issues, and directing students to other appropriate college departments. The Admissions Counselor is also responsible for working in the RRCC call center answering calls from prospective students, students, faculty, staff, and community members. Recruitment activities include substantial face‑to‑face and one‑to‑one contact with diverse individuals.
This position is responsible for conducting outreach efforts in the Red Rocks Community College service area, primarily the Denver metro area, providing families and prospective students with accurate and timely information, and helping throughout the admissions process.
The Admissions office is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M and Friday 9:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. This position will work 8:45 A.M to 6:00 PM. Monday
-Thursday and 8:00 A.M – 4:00 P.M on Friday. Additional hours may be required to cover recruitment events, extended hours, and other campus events that fall outside of normal business hours on evenings and weekends. Attendance at various off campus events and some travel may be required. May require work at both campuses. May require travel between campuses.

- An associate degree from an accredited institution AND two years’ relevant experience OR a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Two years’ experience in customer service and/or sales.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities and supporting individuals from diverse populations, which may include but are not limited to, racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
