The Pathway Advisor assists students in the clarification of their life/career goals and in the development of educational plans for the realization of these goals. It is a professional position at the College who guides prospective and current students through the admission process, course registration and selection, program planning, degree completion, scholarships and college resources. In addition, the Pathway Advisor serves as the Colleges point of contact for students on courses, programs of study, transferability, educational and career plans.
The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend commitments required. May require work at both campuses and travel between campuses. A successful candidate possesses strong communication skills, and is at ease with the following:

- BA/BS in counseling, human services (or related field).
- One year of full-time academic advising or related experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities and supporting individuals from diverse populations, which may include but are not limited to, racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.
- Experience working in a community college or university setting.
- Experience working with Banner, Navigate or similar higher education software packages.
- Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting SalaryStarting salary range for this position is $54,925 to $60,417 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
