Transportation Drainage Engineer (EIT) (Finance)
Michael Baker International's Lakewood CO Office is seeking a Transportation Drainage EIT.
As a part of our Transportation Department Team, the Drainage Engineering Associate will assist with the analysis and design of complex transportation and civil drainage systems, Storm Water Management Plans, storm water facilities, permanent water quality facilities, NPDES permitting, and Hydrology & Hydraulics analysis. Our team also routinely supports Design-Build projects and pursuits nationwide. Up to 20% travel may be required.

What You'll Do- Develop technical abilities in analysis and design of common water resources tasks such as design of storm water management BMPs, storm drainage systems, open channels, closed conduit hydraulics, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, floodplain evaluation, and design of water quality BMPs.
- Prepare hydrological and hydraulic calculations and models.
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Prepare plans, specifications, drainage reports, and exhibits.
- Work in a project office as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Make trips to project sites to evaluate progress and status.
- Support local and regional alternative delivery projects.
- Learn local agency and DOT design criteria and standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
- 2 years of experience in related water resources design and management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Office, analysis software such as HEC-RAS, HY-8, Bentley Pondpack or similar (i.e. ICPR, PONDS), CUHP/SWMM models, Microstation, Open Roads Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD - Ability to travel to support alternative delivery projects throughout the western region (approximately 10-20% travel may be required).
The approximate compensation range for this position is $76,000-$110,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
