Location: Lakewood, CO / Fort Collins, CO

This Senior Technology Designer role is responsible for reinforcing and advancing excellence in building technology systems through strong client consultation and high-quality design delivery. This is a project-facing position involving structured cabling, wireless, audiovisual, and electronic security systems, alongside team mentorship and periodic technology-only project management.

Key Responsibilities- Provide structured cabling, wireless communications, audiovisual, and electronic security systems consulting
- Conduct user needs analysis and apply relevant design standards
- Develop full system designs across structured cabling, wireless, audiovisual, and electronic security scopes
- Coordinate with internal and external mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil teams
- Support design work through construction contract administration
- Lead and mentor junior technology designers
- Contribute to improvements in design processes, workflows, and production assets
- Periodically manage technology-only project scopes
- 5+ years of experience designing building technology systems across multiple client types and markets
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred
- Professional
Certifications:
RCDD and/or CTS required - Preferred Manufacturer
Certifications:
Crestron, AMX, QSC, Biamp, Extron, etc. - Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling, wireless communications, audiovisual, and electronic security systems
- Understanding of construction means and methods related to technology systems
- Experience consulting with clients on system options and solutions
- Experience producing construction documents with multi-discipline teams
- Ability to manage workflow and deliverables across multiple projects
- Experience mentoring other technology designers
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary in-house teams
- Experience performing systems field troubleshooting
Travel anticipated: 0–10%
CompensationEstimated Starting Salary Range: $90,000 – $120,000 (based on experience)
