- Prepare electrical studies including short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, grounding, and arc-flash analysis:
- Develop electrical system models in SKM and ETAP
- Write technical reports summarizing results from electrical model analysis.
- Correctly interpret results and make appropriate recommendations
- Participate in electrical field surveys to gather information for electrical model creation
- Apply knowledge of electrical engineering to create electrical studies, produce detailed electrical design drawings, and evaluate existing electrical equipment.
- Understand best power distribution design practices and relevant codes and standards.
- Implement requirements from NFPA 70E and IEEE 1584.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience with SKM software, formal SKM training is a plus; proven experience with ETAP software.
- 8+ years of experience with electrical design, construction, and/or commissioning of building, facilities, and industrial complexes
- Very strong experience and abilities in written communications and lucid report writing.
- Experience with or ability to become a project lead.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Field experience working in and around various commercial buildings and industrial facilities.
- 5+ years of experience working with NEC, IEEE, and NFPA standards related to short-circuit, arc flash, and protective devices
- Experience with electrical safety, lockout/tagout, arc-flash, and electrical codes
- Excellent problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail-oriented and proficient documentation
- Effective teamwork abilities
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
- Ability to travel to project locations throughout the United States for 1 to 5 days approximately every other month.
- Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.
- Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass the company DMV check
- A Federal Government background review that can include checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verification may be required as applicable.

$93,600 to $114,400/year salary, dependent on qualifications and experience
