Job Overview
We innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. Boeing seeks a Satellite Systems Engineer to support digital satellite operations for the Space and Launch Division in Schriever, CO. The role focuses on MILSATCOM ground systems that manage secure, anti‑jam communications over WGS satellites and terminals.
Position Responsibilities- Advise customers on satellite operation and maintenance.
- Advise customers on ground command and control system operations.
- Participate in technical meetings, author database, and software change requests.
- Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
- Author, maintain, review, and support satellite operations procedures. Configure and run simulations to support procedure validation.
- Conduct technical analyses and studies and provide recommendations.
- Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
- Perform problem solving and support other engineers in a team environment.
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI (U.S. citizenship required).
- Minimum 3 years of related experience for level 3 or 5+ for level 4.
- Experience in Systems Engineering.
- Experience in software quality test and validation.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Schriever AFB if not already within commuting distance.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent.
- Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience responding to anomalies for on‑orbit communication satellites.
- Experience working closely with U.S. Military customers in operational and training environments.
- Project Management experience.
- Data analysis experience.
- Experience developing software or engineering tools.
Mid‑Level (level
3):
Advanced technical education (Bachelor) and 5+ years related work experience or equivalent. Lead (level
4):
Advanced technical education (Bachelor) and 9+ years related work experience or equivalent. ABET accreditation preferred but not required.
Occasional compensated on‑call support outside of typical business hours.
Pay & BenefitsCompetitive base pay and variable compensation. Benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid & unpaid time away programs. Pay ranges:
Mid‑Level $112,200 to $151,800;
Lead $136,850 to $185,850.
