Reclamation is seeking a career professional to serve as a Supervisory Civil Engineer (Civil Structures) in Lakewood, CO. The role supports water demand management while protecting the environment.
Major DutiesResponsibilities include designing and evaluating heavy‑civil and power generation projects, including preparation of analyses, drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and cost estimates. Performing peer reviews and ensuring adequate technical review of group work products. Developing and maintaining technical tools to support Reclamation's mission. Coaching, mentoring, and evaluating staff; establishing performance expectations, providing feedback, and recognizing achievements. Fostering a respectful team environment, resolving conflicts, and promoting collaboration.
Leading decision‑making, change management, and stakeholder communication to keep projects on schedule and within cost. Planning, organizing, and allocating resources for multiple concurrent projects. Monitoring and overseeing project execution to maintain technical quality, cost control, and schedule adherence. Driving continuous improvement by identifying alternatives, resolving problems, and recommending process enhancements for project and team success.
Applicants must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or an equivalent field) earned from an accredited institution. Candidates may use education to substitute for experience in meeting the minimum experience requirement. Foreign‑educated candidates must provide evidence of equivalency from a recognized credential‑evaluation service.
