Project Director-Midstream

Primary Purpose

Provide engineering technical development, oversight, project execution, and project management responsibilities in support of new, commercially driven projects as well as sustaining projects. Coordinate and communicate with Tallgrass commercial and operational groups to support business development, take a defined business commitment, apply basic engineering analytical concepts, and develop a project and engineering/execution plan for successful project completion.

  Project Manager
  - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or equivalent from an accredited institution with 8 years of relevant experience. Senior Project Manager
  - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or equivalent with 12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience / Specific Knowledge
  :
  • 10 years in a major projects environment with direct engineering or project management experience in natural gas or hazardous liquid pipeline or facility projects, including high‑pressure gas and liquid transmission, metering, compression, pump stations, storage, truck loading terminals, gathering, treating, and processing.
  • Full complement of project management skills including scoping, estimating, work breakdown structure, cost and schedule control, design and construction management, team building, resource planning, procurement, and permitting.
  • Basic understanding of mid‑stream and downstream projects; experience executing large mid‑stream pipeline, compressor and pump stations, marine export terminal projects.
  • Executed at least one major capital project with a TIC of USD 200MM or more and developed major projects with a portfolio of USD 1 Billion.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience leading Project Controls, cost and schedule management tools, and reporting to upper management.
  • Advanced experience with Primavera for scheduling and control.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation to business segment leaders and internal/external customers.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, manage large projects, and maintain confidentiality.
  • General understanding of corporate policies and procedures relevant to the pipeline business segment.
  • Basic economic analysis for project justification.
  • Ability to identify expectations in an employee/employer relationship and manage diverse teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, DOT, NEC, ASME, API, ASTM, and other relevant specifications.
