Electrical CAD Technician

• While operating a computer-aided design (CAD) system, the CAD Operator prepares layout and designs of technical project data.
• Industry design specialization may exist (e.g. electrical substations, transmission lines, concrete foundations, steel structures etc.).
• From data and sketches develop professional looking design documents.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to frequent project changes
• Ability to follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using company and client drafting standards
• Accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting
• Perform drawing and technology research
• Coordinate with designers, technicians, engineers, and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.

• Experience:
  
  2+ years of drafting or relevant experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with and/or knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, and Bentley Micro Station preferred
• Good written and oral communications skills
• Good interpersonal and people skills

Proficient in CAD operations, particularly with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Bentley Micro Station, while demonstrating strong drafting skills and the ability to adapt to project changes. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities are essential for collaborating with engineers and designers.
