Quantum Water & Environment has an immediate opening for a mid-level Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Geological Engineer in our Lakewood, Colorado office.
Detailed
Description:
- Support a variety of environmental remediation projects with office and field responsibilities.
- Begin managing small-scale environmental projects with guidance from senior staff within the first year of employment.
- Up to 50% field work at sites located throughout Colorado. Minimal travel to the surrounding States is possible (company trucks are provided and lodging paid for). Field work includes collection of soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil gas samples. Logging of lithology of monitoring wells via several drilling methods including auger, air, sonic, and mud rotary.
- Support and train entry-level staff with field sampling techniques.
- Office work includes report writing, spreadsheet production, data quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) and database management.
- Manage tasks and assignments to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Communicate with Project Managers for work assignments.
- May provide support to Water Rights/Resources Division.
- Work independently to meet project deadlines.
Desired
Skills and Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Environmental Engineering/Geology/Geological Engineering (or related field) with 2-7 years of experience in the Environmental Consulting field is required.
- Must be an E.I.T, G.I.T, P.G., or P.E.
- E.I.T.’s and G.I.T.’s will pursue P.E. or P.G. license within applicable time as part of developmental goals.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is required.
- Strong verbal and written (technical writing) communication skills required.
- Strong, all-round academic knowledge and understanding of complex scientific technical competencies required.
- Possess a positive/can-do attitude, be flexible and self-motivated, and have a strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
