Working with moderate supervision, this role applies working knowledge of CAD software, drafting standards, and industry codes to create, revise, and maintain 2D drawings in accordance with company and industry requirements. The Drafter II collaborates with engineers, designers, and project team members across multiple disciplines to ensure technical accuracy and consistency of project documentation.

This position is expected to independently manage routine drafting assignments while continuing to develop advanced technical skills and industry knowledge.

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Drafting Technology, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant drafting or CAD experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.

Education:

Experience/Specific Knowledge:
  • 2-3 years of drafting experience, preferably in the large-scale infrastructure and energy solutions industry
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of advanced CAD functions
  • Working knowledge of large-scale infrastructure and energy solutions equipment, systems, and related technical concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Experience collaborating with designers, engineers, and project team members
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
Competencies, Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software including advanced functions, Paper Space/Model Space, and External References
  • Working knowledge of industry terminology, equipment, and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings independently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve drawing discrepancies
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the position
