Director, Accounting & Finance Ops – Power Gen

• Lead Accounting and FP&A work streams for the Power Generation line of business
• Develop the end-to-end finance operating model for the Power Generation business
• Identify finance capabilities required to support new operations
• Create implementation roadmaps and transition plans from project development into ongoing operations
• Design and implement operational accounting, project-specific reporting, financial close, management reporting, and operational KPI reporting processes
• Partner with IT and stakeholders to assess ERP functionality and implement an operational/measurement system
• Serve as Accounting lead across Commercial Development, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Information Technology, Regulatory, and other groups
• Design SOX-compliant processes and internal controls
• Establish accounting policies for new transaction types and regulatory reporting/compliance processes
• Develop documentation, procedures, and control matrices
• Complete finance/accounting readiness assessments
• Build close calendars and reporting packages
• Train business users
• Determine headcount and roles/responsibilities for day-to-day operations
• Identify automation opportunities and simplify finance processes
• Standardize operating models across business lines
• Implement best practices in process governance and data quality
• Launch scalable finance operations, establish governance and controls, enable accurate reporting, and build repeatable implementation playbooks

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of progressive accounting, finance, or business transformation experience
• Experience in energy, midstream, oil & gas, utilities, or infrastructure industries
• Experience implementing/enhancing ERP and operational systems
• Strong understanding of accounting and FP&A processes

Demonstrates expertise in Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) within the Power Generation sector, with a strong focus on developing finance operating models, implementing ERP systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive continuous improvement in finance processes.
