Role

Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised HR Generalist to support the Human Resources function for our US operations, assisting a team of approximately 35 employees across our Denver and Los Angeles offices.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a positive employee experience, supporting HR compliance, and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day HR operations. Working closely with the Head of People & Culture (based in the UK) and collaborating with our global team, you’ll help nurture an inclusive, innovative and people‑focused culture.

This position is 30 hours per week
, Monday to Friday (6 hours per day), based in our Denver office with occasional travel to our Los Angeles office.

Key Responsibilities

HR Compliance & Policy

  • Support ongoing compliance with federal, state and local employment law
  • Maintain and update HR documentation, policies and the employee handbook
  • Manage and update employee personnel records in Hibob and Paylocity, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, directing them appropriately
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and team‑building activities
  • Handle routine HR matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion

Performance Management & Development

  • Assist with learning and development coordination
  • Support documentation and tracking related to performance improvement plans

Compensation & Benefits

  • Assist with bi‑monthly payroll
  • Assist in administering benefits programs (health, dental, 401(k), PTO)
  • Liaise with the benefits broker and internal teams to support enrollment and questions
  • Liaise with the Retirement Advisor & Record Keeper and support 401k administration

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Support full‑cycle recruitment, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Assist in sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high‑quality candidates
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure a smooth new‑hire experience

Culture & Inclusion

  • Help promote an inclusive, respectful and collaborative workplace culture
  • Support initiatives that strengthen team cohesion and employee wellbeing
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 4+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Strong working knowledge of US employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience in a technology business is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., HiBob, Bamboo

    HR) and ATS platforms (e.g., PinPoint, Greenhouse)
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP, etc.) is a plus
