Data Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in our enterprise adoption of Microsoft Fabric. This is a highly visible, high-impact position focused on building modern, scalable data platforms that power analytics, reporting, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you’ll operate at the intersection of Lakehouse, Warehouse, One Lake, and analytics platforms, partnering closely with architects, product managers, and business stakeholders. Your work will directly support critical business initiatives and deliver measurable impact over the next 2–3 years.
This is an opportunity to take significant ownership, influence architecture decisions, and help define best practices as we modernize and scale our data ecosystem.
What You’ll Do- Design, build, and evolve end-to-end data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Spark
- Architect and maintain Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions using Delta Lake for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement and mature Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold) within One Lake
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT frameworks supporting batch, incremental, and dynamic ingestion patterns
- Optimize performance through partitioning strategies, schema design, file layout, caching, and query tuning
- Enable analytics and reporting via semantic models and Direct Lake integration
- Establish data quality, validation, observability, and monitoring to ensure trusted and governed datasets
- Partner with product and business teams to translate requirements into robust, extensible data models
- Contribute to data governance standards, documentation, and platform best practices
- Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions
- Drive solutions that produce measurable business outcomes, not just technical outputs
- Senior-level experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related disciplines
- Deep hands‑on experience with Azure or comparable cloud data ecosystems, including:
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, One Lake)
- Power BI, Tableau, Micro Strategy, or similar BI tools
- AWS‑ or Snowflake‑based data platforms (experience welcomed)
- Strong experience with Apache Spark (PySpark and/or Spark SQL)
- Advanced SQL skills (T‑SQL and/or ANSI SQL)
- Hands‑on experience with Delta Lake and modern data lake architectures
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- A mindset of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
- Shape and influence a strategic, enterprise‑wide Microsoft Fabric implementation
- Work on modern data architecture with meaningful scale and long‑term impact
- High level of technical ownership and autonomy
- Collaborative engineering culture with strong executive sponsorship
- Clear pathway for technical growth, influence, and leadership
